it yung laging complain ng nanay ko na OFW, she is very right. i am puzzled why the banks in the Philippines are charging dormancy fees, i was informed that in developed countries, they are not charging dormancy fees to inactive bank accounts.
ganito rin nangyari sa Ate Ana ko sa Union Bank , imbes na madagdagan yung pera nya sa bangko dahil hindi nya ginagalaw is nabawasan pa ng husto.
yung nanay ko naman is sa PNB, my mother is working abroad so mga every 3-5 years lang nauwi, so she is very dissapointed na imbes na kumita ng interes yung account nya sa PNB , Allied Bank dati, is nabawasan pa.
pero Duterte's way , hate him or love him, i think this simple changes of getting years before you will be charged of Dormancy fees from the former 2 years only i think is a good improvement.
but i hope in the future, this Dormancy fees should be abolished
so for now, if you have extra money & you think you will not use it in the next few years, its better to put it in 1yr time deposit, kahit maliit lang ang interest at least hindi mababawasan
now maliwanag, starting may1,2017- dormancy fees shall be charged only AFTER 5 YEARS of last activity at ONLY if ang laman ay below minimum ADB
so for example sa BPI ATM na 2K ang minimum ADB, if me 3K ka dun, kahit hindi mo na galawin ng 10years hindi siya dapat bawasan ng bangko
salamat President Duterte! mabuhay ka!
