i hate to say this, but after my around 8K in gcash- pambayad sana sa SSS, pagibig,philhealth, vanished in thin air during the wee hours due to hacking incident (1am-3am when i am sleep) last week. 

 

Nagcashin talaga ako nung gabi, so me pambayad kami online sa SSS, but yun nga after dinner, i succumbed to food coma. 

 

So when i woke up in 7am, magbabayad na sana ako online, wala ng laman.. sakit..

Out of curiosity & trauma, i am now using my seldom used Gotyme & Maya app & account. I dont want to use Gcash anymore.

 

after some searching & exploring , i really found Gotyme & Maya as safer & superior app than the very famous Gcash..

 

Also, GoTyme & Maya are digital banks, meaning they are bank. & not just e-wallet. So they have more security layer.

 

Gcash as super app should make cyber security as their no.1 priority where the money of their clients are safe, before they embark in the billion peso IPO

 

so chatGPT is correct, we should still use Gcash as like it is - an e-wallet, so use it only as a wallet, where you like only put small cash in it since it is only a wallet, so that in the event it is lost or stolen just like a physical wallet, you will not that devastated..

for me, since i am only poor, usually my physical wallet contains only like 500pesos- 1K only.. usually nga walang laman, hehehe
